Welcome to Athletes and Eras, ladies and gentlemen! For all you sports fans out there, this blog is a way for all of us to think about and openly discuss the question that has been plaguing our minds since our dads first sat us down to watch ESPN: who was the greatest? We will be posting hypothetical match-ups between different athletes and teams from different eras, giving all the facts and testimonials we can dig up. Then, based on the facts, we'll be weighing in my own opinion of who would win and we invite all of you to do the same.
Since our favorite sport is boxing, a lot of our posts will be match-ups between boxers, but we'll go into other sports too. And like we said, we'll post as many facts as possible from credible sources such as experts, historians, journalists, and more. Enjoy! :D
